TAS2R41 is a receptor that may play a role in the perception of bitterness and belongs to the G-protein receptor superfamily. TAS2R41 is expressed mainly in taste receptor cells of the tongue and the palate eptithelia. Structurally, the TAS2R41 gene encodes a seven trans-membrane receptor protein and is clustered together with eight other taste receptor genes on chromosome 7.
