Descripción
Methyl octanoate-ethanol mixtures constitute the biodiesel-bioethanol surrogate fuel and kinetics of its oxidation has been studied experimentally in a jet-stirred reactor. Deoxygenation of methyl octanoate over alumina-supported Pt has been studied in both the vapor phase in a flow reactor and in the liquid phase in a semi-batch reactor. It is also used to make other chemicals.

AplicacionesLas mezclas de metílico octanoato-etanol constituyen el combustible sustituto biodiesel-bioetanol y la cinética de su oxidación se ha estudiado experimentalmente en un reactor de agitación por chorro. Se ha estudiado la desoxigenación del octanoato de metilo sobre el Pt soportado por alúmina tanto en la fase de vapor en un reactor de flujo como en la fase líquida en un reactor de semi-lote. También se utiliza para fabricar otros productos químicos.
