TRAC-1 is a 232 amino acid protein containing an N-terminal RING-type zinc finger domain. It functions as a positive regulator in the T-cell receptor signaling pathway, thus leading to T-cell activation. It mediates ubiquitination and subsequent proteasomal degradation of target proteins. TRAC-1 is expressed in lymphoid tissues, including bone marrow, spleen, thymus as well as in other tissues. It is predominantly expressed in the CD4+ and CD8+ T-cells, suggesting that it is preferentially confined to T-cells.Especificaciones
