For maximum recovery please spin prior to use. Unless noted below, aliquots of the 5 μg, 10 μg and 20 μg sizes of kinase are not recommended as materials can be used in original packaging until exhausted. For larger sizes, the number of freeze/thaws may be reduced by preparing aliquots, aliquots below 20 μL are not recommended. Please never store a kinase diluted. If properly stored at -80C, this product is guaranteed for 6 months from date of purchase. RET is a member of the cadherin superfamily, encodes one of the receptor tyrosine kinases which are cell-surface molecules that transduce signals for cell growth and differentiation. RET plays a crucial role in neural crest development, can undergo oncogenic activation in vivo and in vitro by cytogenetic rearrangement. Mutations in the RET gene are associated with the disorders multiple endocrine neoplasia, type IIA, multiple endocrine neoplasia, type IIB, Hirschsprung disease, and medullary thyroid carcinoma. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for the RET gene. Additional transcript variants have been described for RET but their biological validity has not been confirmed.
