Recombinant Protein

For maximum recovery please spin prior to use. Unless noted below, aliquots of the 5 μg, 10 μg and 20 μg sizes of kinase are not recommended as materials can be used in original packaging until exhausted. For larger sizes, the number of freeze/thaws may be reduced by preparing aliquots, aliquots below 20 μL are not recommended. Please never store a kinase diluted. If properly stored at -80C, this product is guaranteed for 6 months from date of purchase. This HUNK recombinant human protein (full length) was expressed in insect cells. HUNK recombinant human protein is also available in our SelectScreen™ Kinase Profiling Service. Validated for use with the LanthaScreen™ Eu Kinase Binding assay Available in multiple pack sizes for convenient use Also available in our SelectScreen Kinase Profiling Service Protein Form: Full Length, Recombinant, Active The gene accession number for HUNK is NP_055401.1.

HUNK serine/threonine kinase or hormonally up-regulated Neu-associated kinase is a member of the mitogen-activated protein kinase family which is essential for mammary tumor metastasis. HUNK deletion in mice did not alter viability, fertility, longevity, or propensity to develop tumors and it is also dispensable for murine development. HUNK has been shown to participate in vesicular transport. Additionally, functional studies in mice suggest that HUNK regulates endocytosis via interaction with rabaptin-5 protein and induces changes in mammary glands during pregnancy. HUNK expression has been documented in mouse brain, breast, embryo, and fetus. ESTs have been isolated from several human tissue libraries, including normal ear.
