Recombinant Protein

Highest antigen sequence indentity to the following orthologs: Mouse (97%), Rat (97%). This recombinant protein control fragment may be used for blocking experiments with the corresponding antibody, PA5-145041 (PA5-145041. In IHC/ICC and WB experiments, we recommend a 100x molar excess of the protein fragment control based on the concentration and the molecular weight. Pre-incubate the antibody-protein control fragment mixture for 30 min at room temperature.

The four known 15-to 19 kDa INK4 proteins (p15INK4b, p16INK4a, p18INK4c andp19INK4d) bind and inhibit CDK4 and CDK6 but not other CDKs, including cyclin E-Cdk2, cyclin A-Cdk2 and cyclin B-Cdk1. Like the three D-type cyclins, the INK4 genes are expressed in distinct tissue-specific patterns, suggesting that they are not strictly redundant. 5 p18INK4c is expressed during G1 to S transition in the eukaryotic cell division cycle. It is maximally induced as cells enter S-phase.
