Preparation: Produced from sera of goats immunized with highly pure Recombinant Human FGF-16. Anti-Human FGF-16-specific antibody was purified by affinity chromatography employing an immobilized Human FGF-16 matrix. Western Blot: To detect Human FGF-16 by Western Blot analysis this antibody can be used at a concentration of 0.1-0.2 μg/mL. Used in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents the detection limit for Recombinant Human FGF-16 is 1.5-3.0 ng/lane, under either reducing or non-reducing conditions.

FGF-16 is a heparin-binding growth factor that is a member of the FGF family. Proteins of this family play a central role during prenatal development, postnatal growth and regeneration of a variety of tissues, by promoting cellular proliferation and differentiation. FGF-16 signals through FGFR 2c and 3c. FGF-16 plays a role in the development of the central nervous system.
