Descripción
Chlorotrimethylsilane is used to silanize laboratory glassware, which makes the surfaces more lipophilic. It is used in the production of trimethylsilyl halides, pseudohalides and various organic silicon compounds. It is also used to produce hexamethyldisilane by reduction.

AplicacionesEl clorotrimetilsilano se utiliza para silanizar el instrumental de vidrio de laboratorio, lo que hace que las superficies sean más lipofílicas. Se utiliza en la producción de haluros de trimetilsililo, seudohaluros y distintos compuestos orgánicos de silicio. También se utiliza para producir hexametildisilano por reducción.
