YP Base is used with added carbohydrates for maintaining and propagating yeasts in molecular biology applications. The addition of protein and yeast extract promotes better growth.

Dissolve 45 grams of medium and 20 grams of carbohydrate in 1 liter of water. Sterilize by autoclaving for 15 minutes.

Ingredients:

Peptone: 20 g/L

Yeast Extract: 10 g/L

Agar: 15 g/L
