Vivacell™ 250 is the device of choice for the concentration of larger biological samples by pressure ultrafiltration and offers numerous advantages when compared to stirred cells. Vivacell™ 250 handles a volume range from 50 ml to 250 ml and can - for maximum simplicity - be used in bench top mode or in a refrigerator. Fastest concentration is achieved by use with gentle orbital shaking, at the same time reducing shearing effects. Vivacell™ 250 features concentrator modules with vertical membranes in order to minimize fouling. The unique conical dead stop built into the bottom of the membrane insert allows concentration to >1mL. Setup of the unit and exchange of membrane inserts are extremely easy, the concentration process can be monitored through an inspection window with volume graduations.
