Used as cell-permeable, irreversible inhibitor of caspase activity. R&D Systems Caspase-3 Inhibitor Z-DEVD-FMK binds to the active site of activated proteases irreversibly and inhibits apoptosis.

  • Fluoromethyl ketone (FMK)-derivatized peptides are useful tools for studying caspase activity
  • Used in tissue cultures to inhibit apoptosis at final working concentrations of 50nM to 100μM
