Preparation: Produced from sera of rabbits immunized with highly pure Recombinant Human IL-17E. Anti-Human IL-17E-specific antibody was purified by affinity chromatography employing an immobilized Human IL-17E matrix. Sandwich ELISA: To detect Human IL-17E by sandwich ELISA (using 100 μL/well antibody solution) a concentration of 0.5-2.0 μg/mL of this antibody is required. This antigen affinity purified antibody, in conjunction with PeproTech Biotinylated Anti-Human IL-17E (500-P89Bt) as a detection antibody, allows the detection of at least 0.2-0.4 ng/well of Recombinant Human IL-17E. Western Blot: To detect Human IL-17E by Western Blot analysis this antibody can be used at a concentration of 0.1-0.2 μg/mL. When used in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents the detection limit for Recombinant Human IL-17E is 1.5-3.0 ng/lane, under either reducing or non-reducing conditions.

Interleukin 25 (IL-25) is a member of the IL-17 family and is identified as a proinflammatory cytokine which is produced by Th17 effector cells thus enabling the Th17 subset to initiate or maintain the autoimmune process in diseases such as Rheumatoid Arthritis. IL-25 also induces activation of NF-kappa-B and stimulates production of the proinflammatory chemokine IL-8. IL-25 itself is activated through IL-23, IL-5, and TGF-beta.
