Diethylene glycol monoethyl ether has low setting point and low viscocity at low temperature so it is used in manufacturing brake fluid. It is used as a flow and gloss promoter in paint industries, in production of printing ink and as a cleaner in offset printing. Also used in textile as a solvent for dyestuff in the printing and dying of fiber & fabrics, in the production & wood preservaties.

Aplicaciones
El éter de monoetilo de dietilenglicol tiene un punto de ajuste bajo y baja visibilidad a baja temperatura, por lo que se utiliza en la fabricación de líquido de frenos. Se utiliza como promotor de flujo y brillo en las industrias de la pintura, en la producción de tinta de impresión y como limpiador en la impresión offset. También se utiliza en textiles como disolvente para colorantes en la impresión y tinción de tejidos y fibras, en la producción y conservantes de madera.
