Mouse Monoclonal Antibody

MA1-826 detects C/EBP beta protein in human, mouse, and rat samples. MA1-826 only detects the LAP* isoform of C/EBP beta. MA1-826 has successfully been used in Western blot, immunofluorescent and immunoprecipitation procedures. By Western blot, this antibody detects a 37 kDa protein representing LAP* of C/EBP beta (N-terminus fragment) in transfected 293T cells. The MA1-826 immunogen is a synthetic peptide corresponding to residues M(1) H R L L A W D A A C L P P P A A F P K L H(21) of mouse C/EBP beta. This peptide (Cat. # PEP-243) is available for use in neutralization and control experiments.

This gene belongs to the forkhead family of transcription factors which is characterized by a distinct DNA-binding forkhead domain. The specific function of this gene has not yet been determined; however, it may play a role in the development of mesenchymal tissues.
