Descripción
Benzyl 2,2,2-trichloroacetimidate is used for the acid-catalyzed benzylation of hydroxy groups. It acts as reagent during the synthesis of funiculosin dimethyl ether and (S)-3-(benzyloxy)-2-methylpropanal. It can also be used for mild esterification of carboxylic acids in the presence of a catalytic amount of BF3 etherate.

AplicacionesEl bencilo 2,2,2-tricloroacetimidato se utiliza para la bencilación catalizada con ácido de grupos hidroxi. Actúa como reactivo durante la síntesis del éter de funiculosina de dimetilo y (S)-3-(benziloxi)-2-metilpropanol. También se puede utilizar para la esterificación leve de ácidos carboxílicos en presencia de una cantidad catalítica de éter BF3 .
Solubilidad
Miscible con ciclohexano/diclorometano.
Nota
Humedad y sensible a la luz. Incompatible con agentes oxidantes fuertes y ácidos fuertes.
