Description
Behenic acid is used to give hair conditioners and moisturizers their smoothing properties. It is also used to investigate the phase behavior of long-chain acids in supercritical propane.

El ácido behénico se utiliza para dar a los acondicionadores de cabello e hidratantes sus propiedades suavizantes. También se utiliza para investigar el comportamiento de fase de los ácidos de cadena larga en el propano supercrítico.
Solubilidad
Soluble en DMF (∼3 mg/ml), metanol caliente, agua (0,15 mg/ml a 25 °C), cloroformo y etanol (2,18 mg/ml a 25 °C).
Notas
Almacenar en un lugar fresco. Mantener dentro de un recipiente bien cerrado y en un lugar seco y bien ventilado. Incompatible con agentes oxidantes fuertes, agentes reductores y bases. Almacenar a temperatura ambiente.
