El ácido 10-undecilénico se utiliza para la preparación de ingredientes farmacéuticos activos, cosméticos, perfumes, champús anticaspa y polvos antimicrobianos. Se utiliza para el tratamiento de los problemas de la piel y como agente antifúngico. Participa en la producción de nailon-11, metilundecilenato, aldehído undecilénico y alcohol undecilénico. Además, se utiliza como almizcle en perfumes y aromas.
Solubilidad
Soluble en alcohol, cloroformo, éter dietílico, benceno y aceites fijos o volátiles. No soluble en agua caliente y fría.
Notas
Incompatible con bases, agentes oxidantes y agentes reductores.
