Description

Se utiliza como sustrato para identificar, diferenciar y caracterizar las isomerasas de azúcar pentosa. L-(+)-Arabinosa, MP Biomedicals Es el isómero que se produce de forma natural y es un componente de los polisacáridos vegetales. Se utiliza en la bioproducción de L-ribosa.

La mayoría de las bacterias contienen un operón de arabinosa inducible que codifica una serie de enzimas y transportadores que permiten que la L-arabinosa se utilice como única fuente de carbono en el cultivo microbiano.
