Brucine is used as a denaturing alcohol, lubricant additive, separation of racemic mixtures. Proposed to reduce inflammatory mediators including COX-2, PGE2 and thromboxane B2. Able to induce cell apoptosis, with cytotoxic and antiproliferative effects.

Aplicaciones
La brucina se utiliza como alcohol desnaturalizante, aditivo lubricante y separación de mezclas racémicas. Propuesta para reducir los mediadores inflamatorios, lo que incluye COX-2, PGE2 y tromboxano B2. Capaz de inducir apoptosis celular, con efectos citotóxicos y antiproliferativos.

Solubilidad
Soluble en alcohol, cloroformo y benceno; ligeramente soluble en agua, éter y glicerol.
