1-Methylpiperidine is a reactant for sp3 C-H Bond activation with ruthenium(II) catalysts and C(3)-alkylation of cyclic amines, One-pot synthesis of Z-cinnamic acids. It is used in the synthesis of Unsymmetrical ureas, Antibacterial imidazolium, pyrrolidinium, and piperidinium salts, C1-C16 segment of goniodomin A via palladium-catalyzed organostannane thioester coupling.

Aplicaciones
La 1-metilpiperidina es un reactivo para la activación del enlace sp3 C-H con catalizadores rutenio(II) y C(3)-alquilación de aminas cíclicas, síntesis en un solo recipiente de ácidos cinámicos Z. Se utiliza en la síntesis de ureas no simétricas, imidazolio antibacteriano, pirrolidinio y sales de piperidinio, segmento C1-C16 de goniodomina A mediante el acoplamiento del tioéster organoestannano catalizado por paladio.

Solubilidad
Completamente miscible en agua.

Notas
Almacenar en un lugar fresco. Mantener el recipiente bien cerrado en un lugar seco y bien ventilado. Incompatible con ácidos, cloruros ácidos, anhídridos ácidos, agentes oxidantes fuertes y dióxido de carbono.
