Urea is a raw fabric for the manufacture of organic resins and is used as protein denaturant sealant and in agriculture, dyes, fuels, functional fluids, intermediates, paint additives and coating additives. Urea is used as a nitrogen-release fertilizer, on-corroding alternative to rock salt for road de-icing, browning agent in factory-produced pretzels, cloud seeding agent, a deep eutectic solvent and type of ionic liquid.

This Thermo Scientific Chemicals brand product was originally part of the Alfa Aesar product portfolio. Some documentation and label information may refer to the legacy brand. The original Alfa Aesar product / item code or SKU reference has not changed as a part of the brand transition to Thermo Scientific Chemicals.

Aplicaciones
La urea es una materia prima para la fabricación de resinas orgánicas y se utiliza como sellador desnaturalizante de proteínas y en la agricultura, tintes, combustibles, fluidos funcionales, productos intermedios, aditivos de pintura y aditivos de revestimiento. La urea se utiliza como fertilizante liberador de nitrógeno, alternativa a la corrosión de la sal de roca para la descongelación de carreteras, agente pardeante en pretzels producidos en fábrica, agente de siembra de nubes, un disolvente eutéctico profundo y tipo de líquido iónico.

Solubilidad
Soluble en agua soluble, alcohol, metanol, glicerol, benceno y ácido clorhídrico concentrado. Prácticamente insoluble en cloroformo y éter.

Notas
Estables a temperatura ambiente. Incompatible con agentes oxidantes fuertes.
