It is an antifibrinolytic agent that is found to inhibit plasmin-induced fibrinolysis. Used in various hemorrhagic diseases , abnormal bleeding in operations. It is also used as a lysine analogue to characterize binding sites in plasminogen.

Aplicaciones
Es un agente antifibrinolítico que inhibe la fibrinólisis inducida por la plasmina. Se ha usado en diversas enfermedades hemorrágicas y en el sangrado anormal en las operaciones. También se utiliza como análogo de la lisina para caracterizar los sitios de unión en el plasminógeno.

Solubilidad
Soluble en agua (167 mg/ml), etanol (<1 mg/ml a 25 °C). Apenas soluble en éter, DMSO (<1 mg/ml a 25 °C), y alcohol.
