Reactant for the synthesis of alkali metal complexes. As intermediates. tert-Butyldichlorophosphine (TBDCP) is used primarily in the preparation of monoand bidentate phosphine ligands in metal complexes for catalytic chiral asymmetric hydrogenations and other asymmetric reactions as well as transition metal coupling reactions. This reagent is also used in the preparation of other phosphines in catalytic polymerization reactions.

Aplicaciones
Reactivo para la síntesis de complejos de metales alcalinos. Como intermedio. La terc-butildiclorofosfina (TBDCP) se utiliza principalmente en la preparación de ligandos de fosfina monodentados y bidentados en complejos metálicos para hidrogenaciones asimétricas quirales catalíticas y otras reacciones asimétricas, así como reacciones de acoplamiento de metales de transición. Este reactivo también se utiliza en la preparación de otras fosfinas en reacciones de polimerización catalítica.

Solubilidad
Reacciona con el agua. Soluble en n-pentano, n-hexano, éter, tolueno y THF. La terc-butildiclorofosfina es infinitamente soluble en hidrocarburos y disolventes etéreos.
