Solketal is useful for synthesis of mono-, di- and triglycerides. It is used as the starting reagent for synthesis of tulipaline derivatives. It acts as a fuel additive in gasoline. It is an inhibitor of Methyl ethyl ketone .

Aplicaciones
El solketal es útil para la síntesis de mono-, di- y triglicéridos. Se usa como reactivo de partida en la síntesis de derivados de la tulipalina. Actúa como un aditivo combustible en la gasolina. Es un inhibidor de la cetona de etilo de metilo.

Solubilidad
Soluble en agua (totalmente), alcohol, acetales, ésteres y éteres.
