Aplicaciones
La quinolina se utiliza como un intermedio químico para la fabricación de medicamentos y otros compuestos orgánicos. Actúa como una estructura fundamental en algunos agentes antihipertensivos como prazosina y doxazosina que son vasodilatadores periféricos. También se usa en alcaloides, colorantes, productos químicos de caucho y aromatizantes. Además, sirve como catalizador, inhibidor de corrosión, conservante, y como disolvente para resinas y terpenos. Se emplea en la química de catalizadores de complejos de metales de transición para la polimerización uniforme y química de luminiscencia. Se utiliza como agente antiespumante en productos de refinería.

Solubilidad
Más soluble en agua caliente que fría. Miscible con alcohol y éter.
