Propargyl alcohol is a solvent stabilizer that is useful as an intermediate in organic synthesis, an electroplating brightener additive. It is useful 3-carbon fragment in acetylene coupling reactions, It undergoes Pd-catalyzed O-coupling with alcohols to give the corresponding 1-methoxyallyl ethers.

Aplicaciones
El alcohol propargílico es un estabilizador de disolvente que es útil como intermedio en la síntesis orgánica, es un aditivo abrillantador de galvanoplastia. Es un práctico fragmento del 3-carbono en las reacciones de acoplamiento de acetileno. Se somete a un acoplamiento por Pd con alcoholes para producir los correspondientes éteres de 1-metoxialilo.
