Potassium hydrogen phosphate is used as a fertilizer, food additive, buffering agent, in molecular biology, biochemistry and chromatography. It is useful to increase the partition coefficients of amino acids in aqueous two-phase systems. It plays an important role for increase in rice grain yield by spraying chemicals including ferric chloride, dipotassium hydrogen phosphate and salicylic acid.

Aplicaciones
El hidrogenofosfato de potasio se utiliza como fertilizante, aditivo alimentario, agente tampón, en biología molecular, bioquímica y cromatografía. Es útil para aumentar los coeficientes de partición de los aminoácidos en sistemas acuosos bifásicos. Desempeña un importante papel en el aumento en la producción de grano de arroz mediante la pulverización de productos químicos como el cloruro férrico, el hidrogenofosfato dipotásico y el ácido salicílico.

Solubilidad
Soluble en agua. Ligeramente soluble en alcohol.

Notas
Higroscópico químico e incompatible con agentes oxidantes fuertes y ácidos. Mantener el material alejado de calor, chispas, llamas y otras fuentes de ignición.
