Description
Potassium hexafluorotitanate is used as analytical reagent, alloying additive, flame retardant and flux agent for casting. It is also used in the manufacture of titanium acid and aluminum alloys containing titanium. It is also employed in metal surface treatment and finishing, detergent applications and dental impression molding. Further, it is used as a catalyst for polypropylene synthesis. In addition to this, it is used in the extraction-refining-processing of metals, electrical-electronics engineering, textile processing and in ceramics-glass industries.

El hexafluorotitanato de potasio se utiliza como reactivo analítico, aditivo de aleación, pirorretardante y agente de flujo para la fundición. También se utiliza en la fabricación de ácido de titanio y aleaciones de aluminio con contenido de titanio. También se emplea en el tratamiento y acabado de superficies metálicas, aplicaciones de detergentes y moldeado de impresión dental. Además, se utiliza como catalizador para la síntesis del polipropileno. También se utiliza en la extracción-refinación-procesamiento de metales, en ingeniería electrónica y eléctrica, en el procesamiento textil y en las industrias de la cerámica-vidrio.
Solubilidad
Soluble en agua caliente. Ligeramente soluble en agua fría y ácido inorgánico. Insoluble en amoníaco.
