For use in the formation of nitrones from carbonyl compounds and their use in cycloaddition reactions. Used as a reagent used in the synthesis of hydroxylamines and hydroxyamates. Effective reagent used to prepare α-hydroxybenzylamines from α-hydroxyketones.

Aplicaciones
Se utiliza en la formación de nitrones a partir de compuestos carbonílicos y en reacciones de cicloadición. Se utiliza como reactivo en la síntesis de hidroxilaminas e hidroxiamatos. Reactivo eficaz utilizado para preparar α-hidroxibenzilaminas a partir de α-hidroxicetonas.

Solubilidad
Soluble en DMSO y metanol.
