Aplicaciones
El ácido nalidíxico es un agente antimicrobiano sintético de la 1,8 naftiridina. También se utiliza como inhibidor de la ADN girasa bacteriana. Desempeña un papel importante en el tratamiento de las infecciones del tracto urinario causadas por microorganismos gramnegativos susceptibles, incluidas la mayoría de las especies de E. coli, Enterobacter, Klebsiella y Proteus.

Solubilidad
Soluble en éter dietílico, acetona, cloruro de metileno, cloroformo y metanol. Insoluble en agua.
