DPC is a potent, non-specific blocker of Cl- channel and chloride-bicarbonate exchange. DPC also inhibits CFTR (cystic fibrosis transmembrane regulator) ATPase activity. It is used to detect vanadium in steel.

Aplicaciones
La DPC es un potente bloqueador no específico de intercambio de cloruro-bicarbonato y canal de Cl-. La DPC también inhibe la actividad ATPasa de CFTR (regulador de la transmembrana de fibrosis quística). Se utiliza para detectar vanadio en acero.

Solubilidad
Soluble en etanol, DMSO (50 mg/ml), alcohol caliente y metanol. Insoluble en agua.
