N,N'-Methylenebisacrylamide is used as an intermediate and cross-linking agent utilized in the preparation of polymers like polyacrylamide. It is also used in biochemistry for the preparation of polyacrylamide gels, which is useful for the electrophoretic separation of nucleic acids and proteins. Further, it is employed in the synthesis of acrylic resin and adhesives. In addition to this, it is used as a plugging agent in oilfield drilling and construction grouting.

Aplicaciones
La N,N′-metilenediacrilamida se utiliza como agente intermedio y entrecruznate en la preparación de polímeros como la poliacrilamida.
