Descripción

n-Butyl methacrylate is used as a building block of polymer based products that are used in paints and coatings, resins, adhesives, toners and inks, oil additives for dental and medical products. Its polymer polybutyl methacrylate (PBMA) with the sodium salt of partially carboxymethylated guar gum (Na-PCMGG, DS = 0.497) is synthesized using ceric ammonium nitrate as a redox initiator.

Aplicaciones
El metacrilato de n-butilo se utiliza como bloque de construcción de productos a base de polímeros que se emplean en pinturas y recubrimientos, resinas, adhesivos, tóneres y tintas, aditivos de aceite para productos dentales y médicos. Su metacrilato de polibutilo polimérico (PBMA) con la sal sódica de goma guar parcialmente carboximetilada (Na-PCMGG, DS = 0,497) se sintetiza utilizando nitrato de amonio cerico como iniciador de rédox.

Solubilidad
Miscible con éter etílico y etanol. No miscible con agua.

Incompatible con ácidos fuertes, bases fuertes, agentes oxidantes fuertes y agentes reductores fuertes. Almacenar en lugar fresco.
