Manganese(II) sulfate monohydrate acts as a colorant in dyes. It is used in the preparation of manganese and manganese dioxide. It finds application for remediation of manganese-deficient soil. It is also used in dry-cell batteries.

Aplicaciones
El sulfato de manganeso(II) monohidrato actúa como colorante en los tintes. Se utiliza en la preparación de manganeso y dióxido de manganeso. Se aplica para la recuperación de suelos con deficiencia de manganeso. También se utiliza en pilas secas.

Solubilidad
Soluble en agua y alcohol. Insoluble en éter.

Notas
Pierde toda el agua a 400-450°. Higroscópico. Incompatible con agentes oxidantes fuertes.
