This shuttle vector contains the complete ORF for the gene of interest, along with a Kozak consensus sequence for optimal translation initiation. It is inserted NotI to AscI. The gene insert is flanked with convenient multiple cloning sites which can be used to easily cut and transfer the gene cassette into your desired expression vector.

  • Also known as: HPAO; SSAO; VAP1; VAP-1
  • VAP1 is a member of the semicarbazide-sensitive amine oxidase family.
  • It is a copper amine oxidase that catalyzes the oxidative conversion of amines to aldehydes in the presence of copper and quinone cofactor.
  • It is localized to the cell surface, has adhesive properties as well as monoamine oxidase activity, and may be involved in leukocyte trafficking.
  • Alterations in levels of VAP1 may be associated with many diseases, including diabetes mellitus.
  • Alternatively spliced transcripts encoding different proteins have been described.
  • The insert is sequence verified and the entire plasmid DNA and insert translated sequences are provided.
