Ellagic acid used as selective, ATP-competitive inhibitor of casein kinase 2. Exhibits antitumor activity and inhibits glutathione S-transferase. It is also used as a Topo I and II, FGR, GSK, and PKA inhibitor.Commonly occurring plant polyphenol, inhibitor of glutathione S-transferase. Used for the assay of factor XIIa in plasma.Contact activation in blood coagulation.

Aplicaciones
El ácido elágico se utiliza como inhibidor selectivo y ATP-competitivo de la caseína quinasa 2. Presenta actividad antitumoral e inhibe la glutatión S-transferasa. También se utiliza como inhibidor de Topo I y II, FGR, GSK, y PKA. Se da normalmente en polifenol vegetal y es inhibidor de la glutatión S-transferasa. Se utiliza para el ensayo del factor XIIa en plasma. Activación por contacto en la coagulación sanguínea.

Solubilidad
Ligeramente soluble en agua. Soluble en hidróxido sódico 1M (10 mg/ml), EtOH y piridina.

Notas
Sensible al aire y sensible a la luz. Almacenénese bajo gas inerte seco. Almacénese en un lugar fresco y seco en un recipiente bien cerrado. Almacenar en la oscuridad y lejos de fuentes de aire.
