Description
Dithiooxamide acts as a chelating agent and used in the determination of copper(II), nickel(II) and cobalt(II). It is used as a building block in the synthesis of cyclen. It is involved in the preparation of thiazolothiazole-linked porous organic polymers and N,N'-disubstituted dithiooxamides. It is also employed as a modifier to prepare the modified glassy carbon electrode which is used to investigate the electrochemical properties of quercetin, an important flavonoid derivative. Further, it is involved in the preparation of chelating resin with formaldehyde, which finds application in separation and concentration of silver ions.

La ditiooxamida actúa como agente quelante y se utiliza en la determinación del cobre(II), el níquel(II) y el cobalto(II). Se utiliza como un compuesto básico en la síntesis de ciclenos. Interviene en la preparación de polímeros orgánicos porosos ligados al tiazolotiazol y ditiooxamidas N,N′-disustituidas. También se emplea como modificador para preparar el electrodo de carbono vítreo modificado que se utiliza para investigar las propiedades electroquímicas de la quercetina, un importante derivado flavonoide. Además, interviene en la preparación de resina quelante con formaldehído, que se emplea en la separación y concentración de iones de plata.
