Dimethylthiocarbamoyl chloride is used as an intermediate in the synthesis of pharmaceuticals. It finds application in chemoselective deoxygenation of pyridine-N-oxides. It is also used as a starting reagent in the synthesis of dimethylthiocarbamates.

Aplicaciones
El cloruro de dimetiltiocarbamoil se utiliza como intermedio en la síntesis de productos farmacéuticos. Se usa en la desoxigenación quimioselectiva de los N-óxidos de piridina. También se utiliza como reactivo inicial en la síntesis de dimetiltiocarbamatos.

Solubilidad
Soluble en cloroformo y tetrahidrofurano.
