Description

Diethyl carbonate is esters, beta-enamino esters, carbamates and unsymmetrical alkyl carbonates. It is an active component of electrolytes used in lithium which is used as a solvent for cellulose ethers, nitro cellulose, natural and synthetic resin and in erythromycin intramuscular injections. It is also used in the synthesis of 3-ethyl-4-methyl-5-phenyl-3H-oxazol-2-one, phenobarbital, pyrethrum batteries.

Aplicaciones
El carbonato de dietilo se compone de ésteres, ésteres de beta-enamino, carbamatos y carbonatos de alquilo asimétricos. Es un componente activo de electrolitos utilizados en litio que se utiliza como disolvente para éteres de celulosa, nitrocelulosa, resina natural y sintética, y en inyecciones intramusculares de eritromicina. También se utiliza en la síntesis de 3-etil-4-metil-5-fenil-3H-oxazol-2-ona, fenobarbital, pilas de piretro.

Solubilidad
Miscible con éter dietílico, etanol y cloroformo. Inmiscible con agua.

Notas
Almacenar en un lugar fresco. Sensible a la humedad. Incompatible con ácidos fuertes, agentes oxidantes, bases fuertes y agentes reductores.
