Di-tert-butylchlorophosphine is associated with palladium(II) acetate and used in Suzuki-Miyaura cross-couplings of arylboronic acids with aryl bromides and chlorides. It serves as a ligand and used in the preparation of mono- and bidentate phosphine ligands in metal complexes for catalytic chiral asymmetric hydrogenations. Further, it is used in asymmetric and transition metal coupling reactions. In addition to this, it plays an important role in the preparation of other phosphines in catalytic polymerization reactions.

Aplicaciones
La di-terc-butilclorofosfina se asocia con el acetato de paladio(II) y se utiliza en los acoplamientos cruzados de Suzuki-Miyaura de ácidos arilborónicos con bromuros de arilo y cloruros. Sirve como ligando y se utiliza en la preparación de ligandos de fosfina mono y bidentato en complejos metálicos para hidrogenaciones asimétricas quirales catalíticas. Además, se utiliza en reacciones asimétricas y de acoplamiento de metales de transición. También desempeña un papel importante en la preparación de otras fosfinas en las reacciones de polimerización catalítica.
