Cyclopropyl phenyl ketone is used to prepare α-cyclopropylstyrene by the Wittig reaction in dimethyl sulfoxide. It is also used as starting reagent during the (Z)-titanium enolate formation from cyclopropyl ketones via TiCl4-n-Bu4NI-induced ring opening reaction.

Aplicaciones
La cetona de fenilo de ciclopropil se utiliza para preparar α-ciclopropilestireno mediante la reacción de Wittig en sulfóxido de dimetilo. También se utiliza como reactivo de partida durante la formación de enolato de titanio (Z) a partir de cetonas ciclopropilosas a través de la reacción de apertura de anillo de reacción de apertura de anillo inducida de TiCl4-n-Bu4NI.
