Descripción

Cumene is used in the production of phenol and acetone. It is used as a thinner for paints, lacquers, and enamels and as a component of high octane fuels. It is used in the manufacture of phenol, acetone, acetophenone, and methylstyrene.

Aplicaciones
El cumeno se utiliza en la producción de fenol y acetona, como diluyente para pinturas, lacas y esmaltes, y como componente de combustibles de alto octanaje. También se emplea en la fabricación de fenol, acetona, acetofenona y metilestireno.

Solubilidad
Soluble en alcohol, éter, acetona, benceno y tetracloruro de carbono. Insoluble en agua.

Almacenar a temperaturas de 2 a 8 °C. Evitar almacenar expuesto al aire durante un periodo prolongado. Incompatible con ácidos y materiales oxidantes.
