Aplicaciones
El ácido bórico es un reactivo de uso común en la biología molecular para la preparación de tampones como el borato trisódico EDTA y tiene aplicaciones en la electroforesis capilar y en gel. Este compuesto también se ha utilizado en multitud de aplicaciones, desde telas impermeables hasta acero endurecido. Solubilidad
Soluble en glicerol, éter, alcohol, metanol, amoníaco líquido, acetona (ligeramente), agua (6,35 g/100 cc) a 30 °C, agua (27,6 g/100 cc) a 100 °C, agua (50 g/l) a 21 °C y agua (1 g/18 ml de agua fría).

Notas
Almacenar en un lugar fresco. Mantenga el recipiente bien cerrado en un lugar seco y bien ventilado. Almacenar alejado de agentes oxidantes fuertes.
