beta-Cyclodextrin hydrate forms clathrates. Produces a water-soluble complex with dansyl chloride for the fluorescent labeling of proteins. It is used in pharmaceutical research, as pharmaceutical intermediates and also as chemical reagents.

Aplicaciones
El hidrato de beta-ciclodextrina forma clatráticos. Produce un complejo hidrosoluble con cloruro de dansilo para el etiquetado fluorescente de proteínas. Se utiliza en la investigación farmacéutica, como sustancia intermedia en la industria farmacéutica y, también, como reactivo químico.
