Aplicaciones
el cloruro de benzetonio se utiliza como desinfectante de superficies y como conservante en la industria farmacéutica y de procesamiento de alimentos. Participa en la determinación del dodecilsulfato sódico utilizando Sulphan Blue como indicador de la mezcla que contiene otros ingredientes como el cloruro sódico y el sulfato sódico. Es un detergente catiónico eficaz debido a su parte hidrófila cargada positivamente del ión amonio cuaternario. Es un ingrediente activo en medicamentos, desodorantes y enjuagues bucales.
