Azetidine is involved in a high yielding palladium-catalyzed cross-coupling reaction with aryl bromides. Further, it is used in Ullmann type coupling reaction with iodonitroflourenes. In addition to this, it reacts with bis-(3-amino-propyl)-amine to prepare N,N'-bis-(3-amino-propyl)-propanediyldiamine using palladium as a catalyst.

Aplicaciones
La azetidina participa en una reacción de acoplamiento cruzado catalizada por paladio de alto rendimiento con bromuros de arilo. Además, se utiliza en la reacción de acoplamiento de tipo Ullmann con yodonitroflourenos. Además de esto, reacciona con la bis-(3-amino-propil)-amina para preparar N,N′-bis-(3-amino-propil)-propanediildiamina usando paladio como catalizador.
