CD158a Mouse anti-Human, Unlabeled, Clone: HP-3E4, BD

Reacts wth a 58 kDa membrane glycoprotein, member of the killer-inhibitory receptor (KIR). The KIR family family consists of transmembrane glycoproteins of the Ig superfamily expressed on <1-8% of NK cells and a subset of T cells which are involved in recognition of MHC class I molecules on target cells and inhibit cytotoxicity. CD158a is an antigen which recognizes HLA-C molecules (-Cw0401 and -Cw1503). This antibody the purified format is suitable for staining acetone-fixed, frozen tissue sections. It was reported that this clone also cross-reacted with NKAT8 (CD158i) tranfectant cells.

This antibody is routinely tested by flow cytometric analysis. Other applications were tested at BD Biosciences Pharmingen during antibody development only or reported in the literature.
