α-Toluenesulfonyl fluoride (PMSF) is used in the preparation of cell lysates to inhibit protein digestion. It is a widely used fatty acid amid hydrolase (FAAH) inhibitor for pretreatment of brain membrane preparations when testing CB1 receptor activity.

Aplicaciones
El fluoruro de α-toluenosulfonilo (PMSF) se utiliza en la preparación de lisados celulares para inhibir la digestión de proteínas. Es un inhibidor de la amida hidrolasa de ácidos grasos (FAAH) ampliamente utilizado en el pretratamiento de preparaciones de membrana cerebral para los ensayos de actividad del receptor CB1.

Solubilidad
Soluble en éter, benceno, etanol anhidro, metanol y 2-propano. Se hidroliza en agua.
