4-Aminophenol is used as a dye for textiles, hair, furs and feathers. It is also used as a photographic developer. It finds application as a chemical intermediate in pharmaceuticals and dyes. Further, it acts as a final intermediate in the preparation of paracetamol.

Aplicaciones

Solubilidad
Soluble en acetonitrilo, acetato de etilo, acetona, agua caliente, dimetilsulfóxido y alcalinos. Ligeramente soluble en tolueno, éter dietílico, etanol, ácido trifluoroacético y agua fría. Insoluble en benceno y cloroformo.
