4-(Aminomethyl)indole is used as a reactant for preparation of dopamine receptor antagonists and for preparation of high-affinity ligands to α2δ subunit of voltage-gated calcium channels. It is used as a synthetic intermediate.

Aplicaciones
El 4-(aminometil)indol se utiliza como reactivo para la preparación de antagonistas de los receptores de dopamina y para la preparación de ligandos de alta afinidad con la α2δ subunidad de canales de calcio regulados por voltaje. También se usa como intermedio sintético.

Solubilidad
Soluble en etanol, dimetilsulfóxido y dimetilformamida.
